Toyota Innova HyCross will be available in G trim for the fleet segment

Toyota Innova HyCross will be available for both, private as well as fleet buyers. Many of us were wondering about the target audience of the HyCross before its launch considering the fact that it is a much more premium product compared to the Crysta.

The Japanese automaker will make the HyCross available for fleet operators. However, they can only opt for the base G trim of the MPV. The HyCross will be available in G, GX, VX, ZX and ZX(O) trims.

The G trim will be powered by a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre petrol engine mated to a CVT automatic transmission. It will be available with both 7 and 8 seater options.

The base spec G trim still gets some premium features like LED lights, push button start/stop, electric ORVMs, etc. However, it will miss out on the panoramic sunroof, 360 degree camera, Ottoman seats, electric seat adjust, etc.

It is likely to be priced from Rs. 20 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Crysta will continue to be on sale. It will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options along with a rumoured CNG trim as well.

Toyota Innova HyCross bookings commence

Toyota Innova HyCross reveals its face for the Indian market, bookings commence from today for Rs. 50,000/-. The Japanese carmaker will reveal the pricing later. Deliveries to commence from mid-January 2023.

In terms of design, the new Innova looks poles apart compared to the Crysta. It has a more SUVish stance with bold design cues. It’s longer and wider than the previous gen Innova and has a longer wheelbase of 2850 mm. This makes it more roomier inside.

The interior gets a more premium dashboard design with straight lines offering a sense of space. There is a huge 10.1-inch floating touchscreen in the centre console. The steering wheel design is new and sleeker. The interior colours are Chestnut & Black Dual tone.

Some of the features include panoramic sunroof, driver seat memory function, ambient lighting, 10-speaker JBL audio system, paddle shift, Powered Ottoman 2nd row seats, front ventilated seats, dual zone AC, rear sunshade, power tailgate, etc.

Safety features on offer – Toyota Safety Sense (ADAS with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Trace Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Monitor, Pre-Collision System, Auto High Beam), 6 airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, Electronic Parking Brake, Auto Hold, ABS with EBD, Panoramic view monitor (360° camera), etc.

There are 7 colours on offer – Super White, Platinum White Pearl, Silver Metallic, Attitude Black Mica, Sparkling Black Pearl Crystal Shine, Avant Grade Bronze Metallic and Blackish Ageha Glass Flake.

The HyCross will be powered by a 2.0-litre hybrid engine that offers a combined output of 186 PS. It does 0-100 km/hr in 9.5 seconds. Toyota claims it will return a fuel efficiency of 21.2 km/l and have 1097 km range in one full tank.

The other engine will be a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor producing 174 PS. Both the engines will come mated to a CVT automatic transmission. No manual transmission on offer and of course no diesel engine.

However, Toyota has announced that the Innova Crysta diesel will continue to be on sale. The availability of the Crysta diesel will be announced soon.

Toyota Innova HyCross revealed for the Indonesian market

Toyota Innova HyCross revealed as Innova Zenix in the Indonesian market. The Indian market will get exactly the same car but with a different name.

In terms of styling, it looks more masculine with SUV styling elements, specially up front. The nose is upright and it gets some aggressive styling details including a huge grille, sculpted bonnet and sharp headlights.

The side profile gets simple design elements while the rear gets sleek tail lights. Overall, a big change in the design department that will boost its premium appeal.

The interior too gets drastic changes, you won’t believe that it’s an Innova. It comes with a new layered dashboard design with a floating 10-inch infotainment system. The dual brown and black colour tones add to the aesthetic appeal. There is a new steering wheel that looks mature.

It comes with a host of new features that Indians would love. It gets a huge panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, reclining seats with leg support, 10-inch screens for rear passengers, 360 degree camera, ADAS, etc.

Toyota will be offering two engine options – 2.0-litre hybrid and 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. As we have mentioned a lot of times, there won’t be any diesel engine on offer with this car in India. Bookings likely to open on 25th November in our country.

Toyota Innova HyCross first teaser for India released

Toyota reveals the first Innova HyCross teaser for India. Until now we have seen all the teasers from the Indonesian website. The new generation MPV will make its India debut on 25th November.

The new teaser reveals the front profile of the car from the side angle. It has a stance of an SUV with a long and straight bonnet design. The aggressive new headlight design and larger grille add to the SUV effect. There is a hint of Fortuner styling in this teaser.

The next generation Innova will be loaded with features. It will get a huge panoramic sunroof, entertainment screens for the rear passengers, large floating touchscreen infotainment system, 360 degree camera and more.

Toyota will offer two engine options with the HyCross – naturally aspirated petrol motor and a strong hybrid petrol engine. There won’t be any diesel engine option in the new MPV.

However, the Innova Crysta will be sold alongside the new HyCross. Some dealers claim the diesel variant bookings will resume in a few days and deliveries will continue from January 2023.

Toyota Innova Hycross sunroof teased, interior details revealed

Toyota Innova HyCross will get the much awaited panoramic sunroof. It was exclusively spotted by MotorBeam recently on a prototype testing in India. The feature has now been confirmed officially.

The panoramic sunroof looks huge, extends from the front row all the way to the end of the second row. This will make he cabin more airy and feel more premium.

Along with the sunroof you can notice blue ambient lighting, which might be customisable through the infotainment screen offering different colours.

There are roof mounted AC vents for the second row and reading lamps along with the grab handles. If you see the silhouette of the front seats from the rear, you might notice two huge screens for the rear passengers.

The rear entertainment package might be offered as standard on the range topping model or as an optional accessory in the Indian market.

The HyCross will be announced for India on 25th November and bookings are likely to commence on the same day. The MPV will be offered with naturally aspirated petrol engine along with a strong hybrid petrol engine. There will be no diesel engine on offer.

Toyota Innova Hycross undisguised test mule spotted ahead of debut

Toyota Innova Hycross is about to make its debut later this month on 25th November and ahead of its world premiere, the MPV has been caught undisguised for the first time.

The front profile looks similar to the one revealed in the teaser but the grille is different, which means there will be two different versions. This one looks like the regular version while the one teased seems like a sporty variant which might get the TRD badging.

The new generation MPV gets a completely new look and a different design direction. It has a more SUVish look to it with the upright bonnet and a more confident stance. There is some resemblance to the Fortuner.

If you notice, the front grille features a camera module which might be used for the 360 degree parking camera and ADAS functions as well.

The side profile looks clean, gets wraparound tail lamps. Sadly the alloys are partly visible, expected to get 17 or 18-inch wheels.

It will be offered with two engine options – strong hybrid powertrain and a naturally aspirated petrol engine. There will be no diesel engine on offer. The Crysta will be sold alongside the Hyryder initially.

Toyota Innova Hycross interior revealed in the latest spy video

Toyota Innova Hycross is about to make its world premiere later this month but before that let’s have a sneak peak of the interior. To get a ton of new features compare to the Crysta.

A prototype has been spotted testing in India by MotorBeamer Nagraj that reveals some interesting new details of the upcoming MPV. The next generation Toyota Innova will not only get a sunroof but a huge panoramic one! It extends all the way from the windscreen up to the C-pillar of the car. Quite a lot of Indians will be happy to see this feature.

Further, the spy video reveals some interior details of the Hycross which look very premium. There is a new 3-spoke steering wheel that looks quite fresh. Here in the video the steering appears to be smaller in size but we can’t say unless we see it in person.

There is a sizeable floating touchscreen unit, we hope it comes with a better UI and more responsive touch and some premium audio setup. The dashboard looks premium with some shiny bits on the centre console.

It won’t be offered with a diesel engine option as Toyota plans to offer only strong hybrid powertrain and a naturally aspirated motor with the Hycross. Pricing is likely to go upwards of Rs. 35 lakhs (on-road Mumbai), while the strong hybrid variants might touch Rs. 40 lakhs mark.

The new MPV will be revealed later this month (25th November) for the Indian market. Pricing is expected to be announced at the 2023 Auto Expo.

New gen Toyota Innova details emerge as the MPV is all set to make its global debut this year. As we all know, Toyota India is silently phasing out the Innova Crysta and pushing their low-selling petrol variants of the MPV. This is being done to make way for the next generation model.

Couple of months back we spotted the new generation model and it is likely to be called Toyota Innova HyCross according to some registered trademarks in India.

It is likely to be called the Innova Zenix in the Indonesian market and is expected to make its debut in November 2022. The new model will come with G, G Hybrid, V, V Hybrid and Q Hybrid variants.

Yes, the hybrid engine will replace the diesel motor in the new Innova. There will be a diesel engine option for the fleet segment in the international markets like Indonesia but no diesel engine option is expected to be offered for the Indian market.

You can expect to see the new design language with a sleeker styling and some modern touches inside the cabin with new features to keep up with the competition. Sunroof or no sunroof, this is a big mystery right now!

Another big update for the new Innova will be the ADAS system. The Japanese carmaker will be offering more safety active and passive safety features with the new generation MPV.

Toyota Innova Hycross will make its global debut coming November while launch might take place in January, next year

Toyota will unveil the fourth generation 2023 Innova christened ‘Innova Hycross’ coming November and launch might take place in January, 2023. The upcoming iteration of the popular MPV will get many updates which were never seen on an Innova all this time.

Codenamed 560B, for the first time, the Innova will shed its heavy and reliable ladder frame for a more modern monocoque chassis that’s based on the brand’s new TNGA-C architecture (internationally called the Global Architecture C).

This is the same architecture on which the present-day Corolla Cross is also built. Designed taking inspiration from the brand’s Japanese MPVs – Voxy and Noah, the upcoming Innova will get a petrol hybrid powerplant for the first time against the usual reliable diesel engines.

The MPV will reportedly be 4.7 metres long, slightly shorter than the existing Innova Crysta. But the wheelbase will be longer at 2850 mm with a wider body as well meaning the space on offer will be more than that of the existing Crysta.

As far as looks are concerned, the boxy car gets nearly vertical pillars for liberating more space within the lowered perimeter when compared to the present model. The bonnet looks almost flat with Corolla Cross inspired sleek headlamps and high-mounted grille.

The MPV will get regular opening doors and not sliding ones which have become the norm abroad.

On the inside, the huge space will be complemented by modern technologies like connected tech, ventilated seats, wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, reclining captain seats, etc., Some features from the Vellfire could also make their way.

The overall weight will be lighter than the Innova Crysta by a huge 170 kg thereby reducing overall load on the new hybrid powerplant. When launched, the Innova Hycross will sit alongside the Innova Crysta.
