Royal Enfield Hunter 350 production seems to have been already begun, both the base and regular variants have been spotted

The production-spec models of the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 350 have been spotted in full ahead of the roadster’s launch on 4th August. Interestingly, both the base model and the regular model have been spotted side-by-side.

The regular variant sports a dual-tone metallic shade similar to the recently-launched Scram 411 while the base variant gets a single-tone metallic finish.

The regular variant gets U-shaped alloy wheels with Ceat Zoom XL rear tyre and the base variant features spoke wheels with Ceat Zoom X3 rear tyre.

Another major difference between the 2 is in the seat. The regular model gets a ribbed pattern on the seat which is missing on the base variant. The indicator on the base variant is a tiny rectangular unit while its large and round shaped on the regular variant.

The regular variant gets a split grab rail but the base variant makes to do with a conventional grab bar that’s similar to that of the Scram 411 and Classic 350. While both the variants get disc brakes upfront, only the regular variant sports rear disc which is unusually large.

Other than these changes, both the variants almost look the same. The tank gets recess on both the sides for better knee support. The mudguards, side cowls, chassis, swing arm, and wheels are finished in gloss black. The engine and exhaust get a matte black finish.

The left side offset instrument cluster is mounted on the triple T unlike the TVS Ronin and it must be seen how easily readable it is. The upcoming Hunter 350 is set to become the cheapest Royal Enfield as per reports.

It is expected to offer loads on fun thanks to the torquey 350 cc engine on a small package. The front fork rake seems to be minimal aiding in sure-footed handling. The only downer is the mediocre set of tyres. Royal Enfield could have opted the Apollo Alpha S1 units.

When launched, the Hunter 350 will compete with the likes of the TVS Ronin, Honda CB350RS, Jawa 42, and, to a certain extent, even the Bajaj Avenger Street 160.

The leaked type approval certificate

The specs of the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 350 have been leaked ahead of launch

Ahead of its launch on 4th August, the specs of the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 350 have been leaked online via a type-approval document. Interestingly, it produces the same power as the Meteor 350 and the new generation Classic 350.

As per the document, Hunter 350 exerts a maximum power of 14.87 kW (20.2 HP) at 6100 RPM which is exactly the same number for the other 2 Royal Enfields. The biggest change, however, is in the dimensions. This is by far the smallest Royal Enfield of late.

The length, width, height, and wheelbase of the Hunter 350 are 2055 mm, 800 mm, 1055 mm, and 1370 mm. Contrary to this, the Classic 350’s dimensions are 2145 mm, 785 mm, 1090 mm, and 1390 mm respectively. Meteor 350’s dimensions are 2160 mm, 840 mm, 1165 mm, and 1455 mm respectively.

Even when the dimensions of the Hunter 350 are compared with that of the other Royal Enfields, the upcoming bike is, still, the smallest. With this, the Hunter 350 has lived up to the claim that it’s intended for youth who don’t want a big bike.

The lower wheelbase could have been achieved with the use of a shorter swing arm as evident from the leaked images of the bike. Even the front fork rake seems to be quite lesser. And this setup should make the bike an amazing street fighter.

The Hunter 350 is the smallest Royal Enfield

As the 350 cc J series engine is already known for some serious roll-on acceleration capabilities in the lower power band, the Hunter 350 should be super fun to ride at least in the city.

Reports say, Hunter will become the cheapest bike in Royal Enfield’s portfolio commanding an ex-showroom price somewhere between Rs. 1.3 to 1.4 lakhs, that’s lower than the price of the current cheapest Royal Enfield Bullet series by around Rs. 10,000/-.

The roadster is underpinned by the brand’s, now mainstream, J series platform and has been codenamed JIC1. The Hunter will also get a cheaper variant codenamed J1C2.

J1C2 is expected to get single disc with single channel ABS, same as the Bullet 350s and Royal Enfield Classic 350 Redditch series. The rear wheel will sport 153 mm drum brake. The J1C1, on the other hand, will get proper rear disc and dual-channel ABS.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 accessories include a side box, fly screen, and backrest among others

Ahead of the launch of the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 350, the various accessories of the roadster have been spied testing for the first time. From the pictures of the test mule, we can make out that the accessories include a side box, a fly screen, and a backrest.

While the side box looks tall, it tapers at the bottom and gets a ribbed pattern. It’s a plastic unit and doesn’t look good at least aesthetically. It would have been better if Royal Enfield had used 1 of the panniers of the Himalayan instead.

The fly screen looks like it’s a straight lift from the Meteor 350 and looks good. The backrest is smaller than the Meteor’s unit and looks good too. While these are all that can seen, Royal Enfield might offer a good range of accessories for the bike upon launch.

The company has earmarked 4th to 8th August for the launch and first ride events of the Hunter 350. With the bike already revealed in full, the only confirmation needed now is regarding its price.

But it gets smaller and shorter swing arm, smaller wheels, new rear suspension, single-piece seat, different tank, mudguards, grab handles, and tail light. The fork rake seems lower and this, aided by the shorter swing arm, flat handlebar, and sticky tires, should help the Hunter handle well.

The compact profile will help the bike glide through traffic. It could also weigh less than than all the Royal Enfields and this, aided by the high torque motor, could make it a hoot to ride in the city. There are rear set foot pegs for a perfect street fighter ergonomics.

The 350 cc engine on the Meteor, which the Hunter will get, is mated to a 5-speed transmission. It puts out 20.1 HP at 6100 RPM and 27 Nm at 4000 RPM. The mill can hit a top speed of 120 km/hr.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350’s launch date has been pushed to August, will come into 2 variants

The launch date of the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter has been, reportedly, revealed. Unfortunately, the much-awaited roadster is still over 1 and a half months away from sight. The Chennai-based bike maker has sent a ‘Block Your Date’ invite to media houses.

As per the invite, the company has earmarked 4th to 8th August which means, the launch and first ride events will take place in those dates. With the bike already revealed in full, the only confirmation needed now is regarding its price.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Leaked
The Royal Enfield Hunter will become the company’s entry-level model

For the first time, Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has been leaked in full, it will be the cheapest Royal Enfield

Ahead of its launch in just about a month, Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has been leaked in full revealing its overall design for the first time. Other than the leaked pictures, the biggest revelation now is its price tag.

Reports say Hunter will become the cheapest bike in Royal Enfield’s portfolio commanding an ex-showroom price somewhere between Rs. 1.3 to 1.4 lakhs, that’s lower than the price of the current cheapest Royal Enfield Bullet series by around Rs. 10,000/-.

The roadster is underpinned by the brand’s, now mainstream, J series platform and has been codenamed JIC1. Earlier, we told you that the Hunter will also get a cheaper variant. And, now, more details are out. The cheaper variant has been codenamed J1C2.

As far as the discs are concerned, at the front, the bike could either get the 300 mm unit from Classic/Meteor 350 or the 280 mm unit from Bullet 350. The stopping power would be from the regular 2-piston caliper. The rear disc will be the 270 mm unit with single piston caliper.

The biggest gripe with the entry-level Bullet 350 is its huge dimensions which makes it completely inaccessible for short riders and women despite the lower price. The upcoming Hunter expected to address this issue.

The roadster shares many parts with the Meteor 350 including the double cradle chassis, y-shaped alloy wheels, headlight, levers, handgrips, engine, and even the twin-pod instrument console.

Coming to the looks, the 350 cc bike gets a retro styling like all other Royal Enfields and takes design inspiration from Triumph’s Bonneville series. The rear gets a tidy tail with round tail light and indicators.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 will get 2 variants with the base model featuring rear drum brake unlike the Meteor 350

As Royal Enfield is gearing up to launch the much-awaited Hunter 350 in just about a month, the roader’s variants have now been revealed. And this time, the retro bike maker is back to basics. The Hunter 350 will reportedly get a base drum brake variant unlike the Meteor 350.

There will be 2 trims on offer – dual discs with dual channel ABS and single disc with single channel ABS. This is the same successful philosophy adopted with the Classic 350 whose base Redditch variants get 153 mm rear drum brakes, the same ones seen on Bullet 350s.

Royal Enfield has reportedly chosen the drum brake variant to keep the entry price point low. For example, the base Bullet 350 with the similar setup costs Rs. 1,47,999/- (ex-showroom).

The roadster shares many parts with the Meteor 350 including the double cradle chassis, y-shaped alloy wheels, headlight, levers, handgrips, engine, and even the twin-pod instrument console.

After a long wait, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 will be launched in 1 month, will share a lot of parts with the Meteor 350

If you are planning to buy the Royal Enfield Classic 350 or Meteor 350, it would be better if you wait for few more days as the Chennai-based manufacturer is gearing up to launch the much-awaited Hunter next month.

It shares many parts with the brand’s Meteor 350 including the double cradle chassis, y-shaped alloy wheels, headlight, levers, handgrips, engine, and even the twin-pod instrument console.

The overall dimensions of the Hunter seem quite less and Royal Enfield earlier said it will suit teenagers and women very well. Built of the famed J series platform, the Hunter will share its chassis and design elements with more such bikes including the Sherpa in the future.

Coming to the looks, the roadster gets a retro styling like all other Royal Enfields and takes design inspiration from Triumph’s Bonneville series. The rear gets a tidy tail with round tail light and indicators.

The compact profile will help the bike glide through traffic. It could also weigh less than than all the Royal Enfields and this aided by the high torque motor would make it a hoot to ride in the city while also effortless to cruise on the highway. The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has been spied yet again!

Bike fanatics have been reading about and viewing pictures of the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter for about 2 years now. Since road tests of the motorcycle continue to take place, the 350cc model has been spotted once again. But this time, there’s something new.

Two development mules of the Hunter 350 were recently spied. Both 2-wheelers had the same styling as the previously seen test mules with retro-style bodywork that does remind one of a motorcycle range from a British manufacturer.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Spied Side
Dear Mr. Test Rider, do not throw caution to the wind

However, the recently spied Royal Enfield Hunter 350 test mules had rectangular indicators than the previous circular ones, a single-piece grab handle instead of split jobbies and wire-spoked wheels in the place of alloy rims.

They did not come with gaiters for the telescopic forks up front either and the bezel for the circular headlamp comes in chrome rather than being painted in black.

Based on the premium bike maker’s J-series platform, the Hunter 350, it seems, will come with the same switchgear as the Meteor 350 and similar instrument dials, one of which is for the Tripper navigation assist.

Did Enfield decide to work on this new variant after Yezdi’s Scrambler came into the picture?

It should be powered by a 349cc engine good for a maximum of 20.2 BHP and 27 Nm of peak torque. The transmission will be a 5-speed unit. This powertrain has proven to be a robust setup far.

Expect the premium bike manufacturer to unveil the Hunter 350 sometime this year. When it gets launched, the bike should help Enfield extend its lead in the 350cc and above segment.

The bike will be a looker, that much is clear

This recently spotted Royal Enfield Hunter 350 development mule looks ready to enter production

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has been spotted on-road testing yet again and boy does it look good.

After the Meteor 350, the premium bike brand’s next high profile launch would be the new generation Classic 350 which was spied completely undisguised recently.

Another single cylinder motorcycle that the firm is working on is the Hunter, which is the model that was seen on a highway recently.

Let us not beat about the bush, the recently spotted Royal Enfield Hunter 350 seems very much inspired by Triumph’s Street Twin and thus, looks sublime.

It is modern, yet retro at the same time sporting a halogen headlight, orange lens indicators, teardrop fuel tank, single piece seat, simple circular tail light, bobbed rear mudguard and an upswept exhaust.

It has alloy wheels, telescopic front fork with rubber boots, twin rear shocks, a disc brake on each wheel, split passenger grab handles and a saree guard as well.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Spotted Rear
Looks like Royal Enfield wants to crush its competition

Although the test rider in the picture seems bogged down (it must have been a long day on the saddle), the riding position is reminiscent of a roadster.

Through previous spy shots, it has been proven that the Hunter 350 will get the same gauges and switchgear as the Meteor 350, including the Tripper navigation assist.

It should be powered by the same 349cc engine putting out 20.2 BHP and 27 Nm of torque as the Meteor 350. The 5-speed gearbox should be carried as is too.

Expected to be launched by the end of the year, the Hunter 350 could be priced on a par with the Honda H’ness CB350.

2021 Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Instrument Cluster Spied
This modern unit will suit the modern motorcycle well

The upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has been spied sporting an instrument cluster eerily similar to that of the Meteor 350.

An earlier development mule had part of the the new generation Classic 350’s cluster, but now, as development of the Hunter progresses, it seems Enfield decided it best to use the Meteor’s clocks instead.

Do not be fooled by the fonts used inside the larger dial, which we reckon is temporary, for there is no reason for the bike manufacturer to not use the same fonts as found in the Meteor’s cluster.

It would be remiss of us not to mention the Tripper navigation assist which sits to the right side of the speedometer dial. This too has been borrowed from the Meteor 350.

Having used the Meteor’s gauges to make the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 instrument cluster, the brand has also transferred the former’s switchgear to the upcoming roadster.

Spotted recently along with a development mule of the new generation Classic 350, the Hunter 350 sports a very modern design that would instantly remind one of Triumph’s Street Twin.

This particular mule had a halogen headlight, orange lens blinkers, a single-piece seat, split grab handles, upswept exhaust and a simple circular tail lamp. It also had alloy wheels, disc brakes at both ends, telescopic forks upfront and twin shocks at the back.

Like the instrument cluster and switchgear, the Hunter 350 will also borrow the engine and gearbox from the Meteor 350. The motorcycle will also get dual channel ABS as standard.

Expected to be launched in the market this year, the Hunter is likely to be priced about the same as the Honda H’ness CB350.

The instrument cluster has a large speedometer and a small digital display

The instrument cluster of the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter has been spied and this particular pre-production bike does not sport the Tripper navigation system.

Placed at an offset to the rider’s direct line of view, the instrument pod consists of an analogue dial and a small digital display, both sporting a chrome bezel.

The speedometer, which reads in both km/hr and mph, is analogue, while the digital display below would show other details like fuel level, trip meter, clock, and more.

While the Royal Enfield Hunter instrument cluster spied on this mule does not sport the Tripper navigation pod, we have spotted the system on the Hunter earlier (read article here).

Thus, expect the firm to offer its new smartphone-enabled navigation system on its new 350cc roadster when it goes on sale.

Other details that can be noted on the heavily-camouflaged test mule include a chrome headlamp casing, chrome indicator casings, telescopic forks upfront, dual shocks at the rear, alloy wheels and disc brakes front and rear.

There are accessories like the engine guard on board the motorcycle that has a single-piece seat, LED tail light, and mechanical parts finished in black.

Powering the motorcycle is the same 349cc air-cooled engine putting out 20.2 HP and 27 Nm that does duty on the Meteor 350. It will come mated to a 5-speed gearbox as standard.

Expect the motorcycle to be launched pretty soon and take on the Honda H’ness CB350 in the ever-growing premium commuter segment.

Royal Enfield Hunter Spotted
The upcoming bike’s design is a modern take on the classic roadster styling

One unit of the Royal Enfield Hunter was spotted on test recently in Tamil Nadu and it looks like the motorcycle is ready to hit showrooms anytime soon.

While all the attention has been towards the automaker’s recent product, the Meteor 350 and the upcoming 650cc models, Enfield has continued to silently work on its new lower capacity models as well.

Spied by MotorBeamer Vishal Kishore on Chennai-Salem highway, the bike would arguably be the one which looks nothing like Royal Enfields we know when it goes on sale, even amongst the firm’s newest counterparts.

The motorcycle has a Triumph Street Twin vibe to it, what with the circular headlight, teardrop tank, long seat, stubby rear-end and even the way the exhaust pipe looks and is placed looking like the premium British bike manufacturer’s product.

Sporting alloy wheels, the Hunter has a single disc front and rear and has telescopic suspension upfront, while twin shocks do duty at the rear. The tail light is a circular unit flanked by indicators.

While it is fairly evident that the Royal Enfield Hunter spotted on test has the Meteor 350’s engine, it looks like the bike will also share the former’s twin pod instrument cluster including the one for the Tripper Navigation.

Recently, Royal Enfield was caught testing a smaller Interceptor. While some thought of it as the premium version of the Hunter, we would bet against it, for both bikes look very different.

Also, the motorcycle manufacturer is working on a replacement for the Classic 350 that will also share a lot of components with the Meteor 350 and the Hunter so as to keep development costs down.
